Patients 40+ years are now being invited to book appointments for their covid vaccination.
Please be advised that we are no longer administering first vaccinations here at the Surgery. We initially chose to deliver Covid vaccines at the Practice in order to help our older population. However, due to increased workload and ongoing pressures on our resources; upon completion of Cohort 9 we will be handing back the responsibility of administering the vaccinations to the mass vaccination centre at Penrith. Therefore they will be vaccinating our patients in Cohort 10 and beyond.
Your local vaccination centre is:
Penrith Auction Mart Vaccination Centre, Skirsgill Lane, Penrith CA11 0DN
You are invited to book either on line of calling 119.
Please note - centres only show on the National Booking Service when there are slots available, so if you can’t see the centre you are looking for it is advisable to try again later on. Slots are regularly added into the system.
Latest updates regarding the vaccination programme in Eden
For all the latest information regarding the vaccination programme in Eden, please visit our Eden Primary Care Network Facebook page at:
Please note that you do not need a Facebook account to view the content. However if you do have a Facebook account we highly recommend following the Eden Primary Care Network Facebook page, as it contains all the latest news and updates regarding the vaccines and when the next patient cohorts are likely to be vaccinated in Eden.
The NHS will get in touch when it's your turn to be vaccinated
We are currently receiving multiple calls daily from patients enquiring when they can have their Covid-19 vaccination. Please be aware that we have no control over the priority of the vaccinations. The priority groups are set by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and the practice has no powers of discretion with this.
Eligible patient cohorts are currently being invited for their vaccinations in accordance with the priority group list. Vaccinations are primarily taking place at Penrith Hospital, Bridge Lane, Penrith CA11 8HX, however we have also now been authorised to deliver some vaccination clinics at the Practice.
The priority groups can be viewed via the North Cumbria CCG website here: https://northcumbriaccg.nhs.uk/covidvaccine. The website also contains other useful information and resources regarding the vaccination programme.
We would politely request that you do not contact the practice to enquire about the Covid vaccination as it is very important that we keep telephone lines open for patients needing medical assistance.
Additional updates can also be found on the Eden Primary Care Network Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/TeamEdenPCN
Please remember, the COVID vaccine is only available on the NHS & is free of charge. If you receive an email, text or a call claiming to be from the NHS & you are asked to provide financial details, or pay for the vaccine, this is a scam.
Please report any activity of this nature to Action Fraud at: http://actionfraud.police.uk
